Fort Boyard is an odd little outpost on the west coast of France. It is also the name of a popular French game show which is shot on location at the Fort. Much like all of television, the show has spawned popular versions in other countries, most notably the United Kingdom, Sweden, Canada and the Netherlands. It still hasn't made it to the US, but we wait with baited breath. The show's contestants have to complete physically demanding challenges to win gold coins.
